The Basics of How a Project with LCS will go:

LISTEN

Determine client's needs

It all starts with a Discovery Meeting to understand your needs, what you are to achieve, your resources, timelines, and goals.

SCOPE

Work with customer to sketch custom solutions

Once the clients' goals are understood, our consultants will scope out a project to achieve these goals using a variety of solutions.  This is usually an iterative process in order to 'tune into' the best solution and set clear expectations.

OFFER

LCS will offer the client a commercial proposal

A proposal is finalized and delivered to the customer that specifies Deliverables, Pricing, Terms, Client Expectations, and project Timelines.

EXCHANGE

A request for information is submitted to the client in order to complete work

As part of development efforts, the client will provide technical and operational documentation for our Consultants to use during the project.

VISIT TO CUSTOMER

An in-person visit to customer facilities is required

LCS will visit the customer's facility including an inspection of the wind turbine.  During this time, exact configuration, condition, service records, and SCADA data will be collected in preparation for curriculum development. 

DEVELOPMENT

Training and Technical SMEs will be assigned to develop high-quality content for use on the project

By examining the power plant directly as well as analyzing the documentation, the consultants can begin to develop material for the project.  This may be multi-faceted and involve custom or off-the-shelf solutions depending on the SOW.

DELIVERY OF MATERIALS

All materials will be delivered to the customer according to the agreed timeline and terms.

Depending on the Scope, deliverables may include:

  • Powerpoints
  • Workbooks
  • Online / Computer Based Modules
  • Website development
  • Theory Assessments (testing)
  • Practical Assessments (for field evaluation)
  • Performance Report
  • Skills Matrix and Tech Progression planning
  • PM Review and Plan
  • etc...

TRAINING

In-person or Online courses may be scheduled and delivered to students

There the option to book a SME instructor to deliver the training curriculum either online (live) or in-person at customer booked facility.  This in-person training may be done on the wind turbines.

EVALUATION

A comprehensive review is done post-project to evaluate the efficacy of the project

Based on the 'Kirkpatrick Model of Training Evaluation' a 5-step process is implemented at various stages of the Training Program:

Pre-assessments - How do the workers' knowledge compare to a known database pre-training

Student Reaction - How did the student rank the program in various metrics

Student Learning - How do the workers' compare to a known database post-training

Worker Behavior - Survey of management to determine if there was a noticeable change in behavior post-training

Company Results - 

OWNERSHIP

All material is branded to customer and is the property of company for future internal training

Development of Curriculum and Training Material will result in material that is property of client as specified in terms.

TRAIN THE TRAINER

A separate TtT program can bring the client’s trainers up to competency for curriculum takeover.

If needed, a Train the Trainer program can be developed for the customer.  This would be a multi-faceted pedagogy effort that involves intense  supervised programs, such as:

  • Using existing curriculum
  • Altering existing curriculum
  • Classroom management
  • Lab Training management
  • On-turbine Training best practices
  • Online course development
  • Online course best practices
  • Workbook development
  • etc
